I started BoxerSteeds.com for a simple reason: I didn't want us to lose the stories, the history, and the people who love these bikes.
You don't have to own a Ural or Dnepr to appreciate them. Maybe you're riding one right now. Maybe you used to. Maybe you're just fascinated by how rugged, oddball, and iconic they are, with their clunky charm and sidecars that always seem ready for a road trip or a breakdown, sometimes both.
This forum is for all of us. Riders. Tinkerers. Fans. The curious. The long-time experts. The guy who saw a Gear-Up once and never stopped thinking about it.
I've spent time on places like SovietSteeds, and I have a lot of respect for what that community has built. BoxerSteeds isn't here to replace that. It's just another space — a fresh start — where fans of boxer-twin motorcycles can talk shop, share builds, ask questions, or just hang out with people who "get it."
We're still new here. The threads will be few at first. But every great community starts with a handful of folks who care enough to show up early.
